Benjamin Hugues joined Camco in 2012 and is one of the founding members of its funds business, setting up and successfully delivering on fund management mandates totalling US$220 million. Most recently, he has been managing the Renewable Energy Performance Platform (REPP), Camco's flagship fund. Hugues has worked on a diverse range of debt and equity transactions for renewable energy projects across Africa, Asia and North America with total project costs in excess of US$1.5 billion. Prior to Camco, Hugues worked at leading bank Standard Chartered on its currencies and commodities structuring desk, where he developed hedging solutions and trading systems for the bank’s US$1.2 billion foreign exchange business. Hugues has an MBA from London Business School and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Grande Ecole ENSIACET in Toulouse, France.
