Michael Horvath & Geoffroy Marcassoli, PwC Luxembourg

After working at PwC Switzerland since 2011, Michael Horvath joined PwC Luxembourg in October 2018. He has a financial, regulatory audit as well as an advisory background and significant experience leading projects in the asset management industry, covering liquid and illiquid structures. More recently, Michael has been particularly involved in various regulatory-focused projects related to the implementation of the EU regulatory framework for sustainable finance at corporate and product level, from design to reporting for different types of market participants. Geoffroy Marcassoli is a Partner at PwC Luxembourg, specialising in ESG and sustainable finance assurance. Having started his career in the audit practice, Marcassoli increasingly participated in engagements that involved defining sustainable strategies for asset managers, conducting regulatory gap analysis and performing taxonomy assessments. With the entry into force of SFDR in 2021, he developed and led the PwC SFDR assurance practice, currently providing assurance to a large number of asset managers for Article 8 and Article 9 funds covering ETFs, active mutual funds, private equity, infrastructure and real estate funds.
